Is there a fuse in the dryer?
HI, check the following to address this issue.
1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power with a voltmeter or by plugging something else in.
2. Door switch / Door switch actuator lever
The dryer will not start with a broken door switch. Replace the door switch if found defective.
Most dryers have a door switch actuator lever - when you close a dryer door, it presses against the lever, which actuates the door switch. If the lever is broken, the switch would not activate and the dryer would not start. Replace the lever, if broken.
Note: Door switch actuator lever usually comes with the door switch assembly and it is recommended to get the whole assembly since there is almost no price difference between the door switch assembly and just the lever. Check your model for more details.
3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.
Note: It is recommended by most dryer manufacturers to replace a hi-limit thermostat when replacing a thermal fuse.
4. Timer or control board
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).
**The most common issue here will be a defective Thermal fuse

There is a little button on the back of the dryer that needs to be reset. It looks like a little black circle, just push the center and you should feel it click. Once you have the dryer running, go outside your house and check that air is flowing freely from the exit. If it is not, you have a clog in your venting or inside the machine itself, and that has caused it to overheat and trip that protection switch. Also, make sure your lint filter is VERY clean. this sounds dumb, but these askos are very picky about that. Take the screen and scrub it with a soft nylon brush with some soap and water. Also, don't use dryer sheets in these as they tend to clog up that screen with an oily residue. If you must use dryer sheets, at least clean that screen with soap and water on a regular basis. If the vent is not clogged and the screen is clean and the flap on the outside of your house is clear, then the machine needs to be disassembled and cleaned out internally if ti keeps tripping that switch. What you describe is either a failed evenheat board or a failed motor relay.
Please post the complete model number from the machine and I can help you narrow it down. There should be a wiring diagram inside the console with voltage checks also.

Since your dryer is "new" it is under warranty. I will explain the possible reasons why it will not spin. Then you can decide whether to make the warranty call or not.
If your dryer doesn't tumble, check these:
Belt
Motor
Door switch
Belt
Dryers have a drive belt that turns the clothes drum. If the belt breaks, the drum stops rotating. Then you need to replace the belt, and often the idler pulley, because the pulley tends to wear out at the same time.

Motor
If the dryer motor only hums when you press the Start button, the motor may be burned out. Here's how to test the dryer motor:
If the motor is very stiff, or impossible to rotate manually, and the blower fan housing is clear, you need to replace the motor.
If the motor rotates freely, run the motor momentarily with the belt removed and the blower in place. If the motor runs fine with the belt removed, there may be a problem with the idler pulley or the clothes drum. Try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is very difficult to move, correct any problem with the rollers or pulley, and then reassemble the dryer and try it again.
If the motor hums but doesn't rotate on its own even with the belt removed--yet you can turn it freely by hand--you usually need to replace the motor or the motor start capacitor.
Door switch
Your dryer can't operate at all if the door switch is defective. It's inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
