Question about HP Compaq ProLiant ML530 Server
WHEN I STAR I SEE THE FOLLOWING MSG
172 SYSTEM CONFIGURATION MONVOLATILE MEMORY INVALID INITIALIZACION ABORTED
PLEASE HELP ME
This means that the non-volatile memory on the motherboard (also called "BIOS memory", or simply "BIOS" has got corrupted. This may be because the tiny battery on the motherboard is dead and needs to be replaced (I can't remember offhand if the ML370 has a BIOS backup battery, so that may not be it). In any case, you need to go into the BIOS setup program as the server starts up, correct any errors you find there and then Save Changes. You may find the only option initially is to Reset to Defaults. If so, accept that, save it, then go back into the BIOS setup and customise as necessary.
