Re: hp laserjet 111
Hi.. Replacing the formatter pc board is a little job..but parts should be available at :www.partsnow.com or www.printerpartsandsupplies.com you can Google search HP laserjet III and a host of site should help you find the part, if available. Good luck, Squipps

just try to print the self test of the hp 1018 printer.self pest is printed directly from the printer not by giving command from the printer.
press any one of the button on the printer and hold it till the light blinks.leave the button when light starts blinking .place the paper in the tray.as soon as you leave the button .a self page will be printed..that is self test.if the self test comes out proper that means its your driver software problem.but if self test also has problem then its the clear problem of dust collected on the printer reading lens due to not using it for 2 years.so the printer needs servicing.
get it serviced at local printer repair shop .
1. First, clean your printer. Get some spray-n-wipe cleaner and a
clean cloth and clean the entire inside of the printer. Also ensure
your paper isn't dirty. Now print a test page. Does the symptom
persist? 2. Remove all jammed paper. Check the paper tray first. Look
closely at the paper rollers nearest where the paper exits the printer;
this is a common source of jams. If you’re trying to print labels, they
will often jam just before exiting the printer.
3. Try to print a test page. Does the printer still jam? If you
can find no source of the jamming, check the printer's message display
window and refer to your user’s manual to look up the printer error
