All of a sudden every time I power up my 410, it reads Wite Protect! on the screen and beeps real loud and long at me. I don't know how the card could be "Write Protect!" suddenly. How do I unprotect it? Is the card or the camera bad?

Have you tried a new memory card,or reformatted the existing one?
Or go on the menu on the camera and restore all the original factory settings?
If none of those work it might be time for a new camera!
SD type cards have a little switch on the card that can write protect or "lock" it. Take the card out of the camera and check this switch. To unlock it, it should be moved towards the edge of the card which has the electrical contacts.
You might wanna check on your memory card. It could be that it is currently on write-protected mode. What you want to do is to check it now and then look for something like a push button. If its on the top position, push it downwards. Vice versa.
Hi there Face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this . Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!
Check the manual to discover how write protect is achieved with your particular camera/card
Some card rely on a silver foil stick[Smart Media] other have a switch. Compact flash rely on a control on the camera.
So you will have to have a good browse through the manual - do not forget that there is a Full manual in PDF on the software disk.
Inspect your SD card carefully. Some SD cards come with a write-protect lock switch on the side of the card. When looking at an SD card from the top there is one required notch on the right side (the side with the diagonal notched corner) and on the left side there is usually a switch. This is the write-protect switch. When this write-protect switch is in the down position (away from the end that is inserted) then it is write protected and read-only. When the switch is in the up position it is write enabled.
