Hi,

The default code from the factory for Sagem is 1,2,3,4.

Unless you have manually changed it to something else it should still be the same. Enter this and let me know if it works ok for you.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

How do I reset my sagem freeview

If I'm correct, then your box has frozen since a recent retune and is possibly (but not necessarily) displaying error codes 07 and 09. if this is the case then there is nothing you can do by way of a reset to remedy the fault.

If so, a number of Sagem models have shown incompatibilities with the recent Freeview retune, and your model (PVR 6280) is specifically listed as one ofthose affected (seehttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/01_10_09_freeview2.pdf ). Sagem are not the only ones, better known brands had problems as well.

The official advice is to contact Sagem directly on 0845 0900 316 to find out if they've scheduled an OAD (over air update).

If I'm wrong in my initial assumption and all you wish to perform is a straight system reset for any other reason then all you do is to switch the box on and then unplug it from the mains and from the aerial, leave it for five minutes to allow internal capacitors to discharge, and then refit the aerial plug and reconnect the mains power to it.

I hope that you've foundmy posting to be of use and ask only that you return the favour byrating my answer.

Get and error 07 and 09

Sagem error code 07 means there'san access problem in back-up memory and code 09means the machine has been unable to find any data necessary to do anupgrade. In essence, your box has tried to upgrade itself and failedand now cannot restore to it's previous state.

The official advice is to contact Sagem directlyon 0845 0900 316 to find out if they've scheduled an OAD (over air update).

Although my answer doesn't offer an immediate fix it should at leastreassure you that you have done nothing to cause the fault: it's beenthere from the day it was manufactured just waiting to occur. My sagem dvr62160sl uk digital reciever wont work

A number of Sagem models have shown incompatibilities with the recent Freeview retune, there is a list of affected models (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/01_10_09_freeview2.pdf ) but it's not a fully comprehensive list. Sagem error code 07 means there's an access problem in back-up memory (stored in the EEPROM) and code 09 means the machine has been unable to find any data necessary to do an upgrade. In essence, your box has tried to upgrade itself and failed and now cannot restore to it's previous state.

Your dvr62160sl is closely related to the dtr6240 and 6280 models which are known to have had issues and so the official advice is to contact Sagem directly on 0845 0900 316 to find out how whether they can supply a solution on a dvd or if they've scheduled an OAD (over air update).

Problem retuning Sagem PVR6240T set top box

Hey Agoodwin,

Looks like you have missed the final software updates for the PVR72xx and 62xx series last year. The bad news is that Sagem are not likely to send another update for their old models. If you check your box settings and you have software version 0.4.5. or less, your box will probably not work again. Sorry, mate...

Lost BBC channels on my SAGEM PVR6200T during a retune

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.

For troubleshooting the retune procedure visit http://tvretune.co.uk/troubleshooting/
