When starting dryer this am i received error code 8.8 and cannot get dryer to respond to anything. What is the problem?

there is no such error code on this dryer, that is likely the time left on the display... If the dryer stopped at the 8 minute mark with no error, check the door switch because it can interrupt a cycle, but will result in no error... Did you try to start it again, what happened? To get the error code your dryer may be experiencing, attempt the following:

Wake your dryer by pressing any button except for CANCEL.

Press and hold the "CANCEL" and "START PAUSE" buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds to show the error recorder code your dryer may have. The error code normally appears in the display as an E followed by two numbers.

If your dryer shoes, E00 it indicates no failure code was detected.

I understand that you are receiving an "AD" error code on your Frigidaire dryer, model# AGQ7000E. I also see that your dryer is not heating. The "AD" code states that your appliance is in an auto dry cycle. I suggest resetting your dryer, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. I understand that you are receiving an E4A error code on your Frigidaire dryer. I do not show an E4A error code for your appliance. I do have an EA4 error code which states improper home wiring. The other possibility is that this could be a false error code. I suggest resetting your dryer, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When you restore power, start any cycle on your dryer. F22 CCU / Touchpad / LED assembly error This error occurs if the touchpad/LED assembly is not able to transmit/receive data to/from the central control unit (CCU).

Possible Causes / Procedure

1. Check the touchpad/LED assembly by selecting different cycles and changing the modifiers and options available to confirm the touchpad/LED is responding.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the touchpad/LED assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU).

Replace failed component.
