HOW TO CONNECT HPDESKJET D2545 PTINTER

The D2545 is a basic USB printer. The USB 2.0 (A-B M/M) cable is not included. The installation steps are 1) plug in the power cord and turn on the printer, 2) make sure that it has paper and ink, 3) connect the USB cable to the back of the printer (the square end) and to the computer (rectangular end) with the computer on. The Windows or Apple OS will then install the basic driver software. If this step does not occur, check if your cable is fully seated. Next try a different USB cable and a different USB port. If you are using a USB hub, try a direct connection to the computer's USB port. If the driver software still doesn't work, check that the correct USB driver is installed and working. In Windows, go to the Device Manager. (Press the Windows Key + X in most versions of the OS or go through the Control Panel under Hardware. That involves left clicking the Start button for Windows 7 and lower. For Windows 8.1 and 10, right click on the Start button.) If you see a triangle with an X or an exclamation point, you have a driver problem. Check the computer manufacturer's site for updated drivers.

Go to http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Deskjet-D2500-Printer-series/3374272/model/3571289/drivers if you want the full featured software and drivers.

I hope this helps.

HP F2100 Printer

This is due to the USB port "coming alive". There is not an easy way to solve this other than to leave the USB connection unplugged except when he needs to print something. This is supposed to be a power save feature in that the printer turns off when you turn off your computer and turns back on when you are using your computer.

Hope this helps..
