I have also a problem with the paper feed. With plain paper there is no problem but with photo paper 180 gr. the transport is failing. Then I have to pull the paper out of the printer and try it again. Sometimes the print is o.k. after 3 efforts (My English is not very good so I find it difficult to explain.) I think that paper of 180 gr. is too thick voor the printer.

Re: paper transport is failing
Hello, You need to clean the paper feeder to remove a film of dirt that is causing the problem, also bend the thick paper on the edge of where the portion is inserted to ease the stress of taking the paper in... Lubricate the gears and traction mechanisms of the paper feeder to function properly and to last longer...

Check feed roller for contamination, fan the paper to seperate sheets and then make sure that you are using paper of the following standard: Paper TypeThicknessWeight
Single sheets (plain paper)
0.003 to 0.004 inch (0.08 to 0.11 mm)
17 to 24 lb (64 to 90 g/m²)
Make sure you are using paper supports and feed guides.
Do not mix photo paper in the feed with any other type paper. Also, when you attempt to print, specify what type of paper you will be using to print pictures. Plain paper usually prints with no problems.
dont use thick photo paper like 230 gsm up, instead use 180 gsm papers. but if you dont want to waste the purchased thick photo papers, you can open the back and manually insert the paper once the printing process started. i tried this as a trial & error basis until i had perfected it.... hope it works with yours.
