Our refrigerator just died because of a failed heat exchange part. We had hoped to repair, but am not succeeding in locating the heat exchange part. If we do not get replacement parts for our Fridge, we could potentially sell parts (eg door closers).

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to explain this issue. I would need to see pictures of the part you have to compare to the diagram and determine your next move. I would with parts companies around the US and I can get you picture if you need them of how the unit was designed to work.
So either send me pictures of both door or I can send you snap shot of the parts list and pictures to assist you.
I have to ask, if the unit level and were the door removed at anytime prior to the current issue you have?

Thanks

Refigerator and Freezer not cooling

You might try cleaning all the dust if any from the back or access to the bottom front.

My refrigerator door won't stay closed it pops open and does not close freely.

Hi,

You have a door closure issue, these are located under each door and most of them are made out of plastic, but are replaceable. You can get these part from any appliance parts store or online with a complete model number to the unit you have or are working on.

I hope this helps.

I have a Whirlpool Refigerator (double door, freezer over cooler). Its model number is WBM35 IX (made in 2003). Lately I have problems in the fridge. The freezer freezes the items. But there is no...

My guess is the fan has gone on it. Mine did the same thing. The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer compartment via a fan that is usually in the back of the freezer. It's not a hard replacement, if you're tech-savvy (took me about 1/2 hr.) and the part will cost you about 40 to 70 dollars, depending on where you buy it (priced mine out at $70, I think, but found a local guy who sold me one for $40. It's called an "Evaporator Fan" and I believe this link will show you a possible replacement for it (The crappy part is that you need to take the old one out to look at it to be sure).http://tinyurl.com/3so7a86 Good luck.

I need a part for the insdie of the door and the front closure where you keep the butter; themodel is of 11/06, Whirlpool Estate TTI4DKX5Q00 model. Is it possible to obtain the two parts and what would...

take your model number to your local appliance repair dealer. They can look up the cost on their computer and give you an accurate cost including shipping. They can also show you a picture of what they think you are describing and you can verify the correct parts before ordering. Parts usually arrive in a couple of days. If you don't have time, then call them with your model number in hand and a description of what you need. You can order over the phone with a credit card.

The ice dispenser rubber door or seal does not close allowing warm air back into the freezer and causing frost buildup. How difficult is that rubber seal to replace.

Remove the top freezer hinge cover and disconnect the plug there . This will remove power to the door . At the bottom of the dispenser cover , but inside the dispensing area , between the grill and the cover , insert a small screwdriver about 1 " in on both sides , and push down and inward , forcing the bottom of the cover outward . Do this carefully , due to plastic tabs on the dispenser cover . After bottom is loose , lift upward , to release the top plastic slots of the cover . Disconnect the plug on the cover . Remove the 2 screws holding the dispenser housing , and slide forward . You should now be able to see the door flap , return spring and pin . You will have to see which part(s) are needed or what the situation is . Maybe pin slid out , maybe the clear plastic ice guide , connected to the dispenser activator arm , broke loose , obstructing the closure of the door flap . Come back with your findings and a model number , and myself or another expert , will be glad to give you part numbers .
