Problems getting sound to both channels

Can anyone tell me if there is a specific type of headphones for this product. I have 3 makes of headphones Phillips, creative and IPOD, but I only get sound in the left earphone when the jackplug is push in 100%. I can get sound in both earphones (left and right) if I pull the jackplug out slightly (Say 50% but this needs holding in place to maintain sound in both ears. I took the Recorder back to Currys Digital and they did replace the unit confirming the fault, unfortunately the replacement has the same problem. Any assistance would be appreciated.

You need compatible earphones for the mono jack on your unit. All the earphones that you have are stereo which is why you only hear on on one side.

Hi kadman,
i think you should check for olympus headphones only
http://shopping.yahoo.com/s:Headphones:4168-Brand=Olympus,
or easy part saves money:
cut a plastic straw (pipe) a make a spacer to put it over your current headphones jackplug. you wont have to hold it by yourself.
afterall, you gotta fix it, by any means.

Hi,
The problem is not in your headphones it's in you jack in VN-3100PC! It's only one mono channel working. You may disassemble and look if wire or connection is somewhere cut, split!!!
Other solution is to buy stereo jack-spliter and inside the jack connect both + signal!!! That give you sound on both headphones but it will be mono!!!
Good luck!

Where you jack the connector there are the pin in connector which touches the internal circuit.
may be the circuit on the phone is having some dirt.
clean it or check the connector if its pin touches the all circuits of the phone.

Beringer Xenyx 1204fx emits a clicking sound... Sounds like a Geiger Counter for radiation in my headphones. I have used the same sound mixer in the same configurations for 3 weeks. Now I've had it...

This is likely a problem with the FX in the unit or the power to it. Does the FX display act correctly? Check that the headphone source "Main Mix" is the ONLY button down for the headphones. If not, make it so. If the clicking is still there, try the headphones in the aux send jacks... see if EITHER left or right can hear the clicking. Back in the phone jack, scan across the SOLO channel buttons down one at a time. Is there clicking? If not, the problem involves the mixing buss or further down the line. Make sure the SOLO buttons at the FX Aux sends are up.
What effect does the MODE button have in SOLO and in PFL? Is the SOLO LED off? Is the number in the FX window SOLIDLY on and not flashing?

Might buy Missil 8GB MP4 touch screen Any Suggestions?

Missil multimedia prpducts tend to have problems with the headphone jacks, I've had numerous MP3/MP4 players made by them, including the non-touch screen version of the one you're considering buying, and of all the ones I've had (probably around 15 different items from Missil), about 1 in 3 had issues with the headphone jack disconnecting from the circuit board inside.

That being said, a friend of mine has the touch screen one, and granted you have decent headphones, it has amazing sound quality for the price and all around is on par with anything of the iPod series, other than in reliability. Just make sure you get the longest warranty you can afford with it, just in case. When buying cheap electronics, the product itself will usually defect before it breaks from the users flaws.

How do i set up the Technika TA-709 Wireless Headphones to my tv. Have lost the manual and am not getting any sound only static on all 3 channel selections.

You should have all the necessary cables to do this with the package you bought, the wire which has a headphone style plug on each end should be plugged into the headphone jack on your tv.

If they dont work then there are two further things that could be at fault:

A: The headphone audio volume controls and the actual speaker volume controls on tvs are totally different and if the actual headphone volume is turned down then you will get an interference type noise thru your headphones as no sound is being detected by the reciever and therefore they go into kind of a standby mode. !!!!!!!!!!Try looking in your TV settings menu to make sure your headphone volume is turned up!!!!

B: being an owner of a pair of these headphones I know how audio the cable can easily turn faulty from prolonged use us. The wires can easily break inside but look fine from the outside so get a new one. Headphone jack to Headphone jack cable.

I use these along with my xbox 360 wireless earpiece (fits nicely under the headphones) and I think they're far superior to the Turtle beach headphones +++ My setup is 100% wireless which also makes it better than any turtle beach setup on the market.

Jabra's headphones are not working correctly - cable problem.

Most cable problems are easily solved. First if the sound on one channel cuts off, then on, you have a break in it. This can be narrowed down by checking each part of the cable and getting it to act up.
The other problem is if the earth in the cable disconects. This will make the sound have a 'spaced out' feel, with no bass.
The place where most trouble occurs is the plug end. As it gets the most abuse!

WHAT TYPE OF AMP?

Probably the easiest way would be to use a stereo receiver. You can run the headphone output of your ipod into a tape or cd input. The only thing to deal with will be adapting a stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone type jack to 2 RCA type input jacks. You should be able to get this cord at radio shack. You might also be able to purchase a receiver that has a 1/8" input jack specifically for connecting things like an ipod. A receiver, by definition, has a tuner built into it. The alternative would be a tuner and an 'integrated amplifier' which has power amps to drive speakers as well as a pre-amp and input selection switching.

Headphones cut in and out - distorted sound

Dance_to_it -
I have had these great headphones over 15 years (I think!)
1. Are the batteries getting a full 8 hour charge?
2. Have you tried all 3 channel options?
3. Is there anything else close by that is an RF transmitter or receiver? If so, move the headphone base or other RF instrument away from each other.
4. If these are the original batteries you probably need new ones.
5. When purchasing new batteries I recommend original equipment Sennheiser BA151 batteries, not any other brand. I have tried 3 or 4 other brands, all with less than satisfying results. I have no affiliation with Sennheiser corp., just a consumer of their products (and Grado's for wired headphones)
Good luck!

Try the button just above the volume button on the left side of the device- it toggles the sound on or off- functions as a "silence" button

Integrated Sound

Hi ZeroCool2u,

I think you just sold me ;~) *drools with envy*

Getting to your question, your MSI K8N Neo4 motherboard is 7.1 compatible, so you shouldn't have any trouble hooking up your new headset.

You'll have to configure your setup within MSI DigiCell first though. from the manual, it looks like it will give you a colour code telling you which jack is which, when you select 5.1 from the "speaker mode" section.

now, going by this picture I found of your headset, the analog audio connectors you have are on an adapter, and colour coded. They are as follows:

Green plug- your front two channels.

Black plug- Your back two channels

Yellow plug: Center channel/sub

Pink plug- Microphone

so, plug these in using this as a guide, and you should be good to go. I'm unsure if you need to plug in the USB connector along with the rest of them, or if it's just there if you want the headphones to do all the rendering instead of the soundcard, so you might want to test the headset without it plugged in, initially, or refer to the users' guide.

although personally, I'd reccommend investing in a dedicated soundcard anyways- Integrated sound systems take away resources from the Processor and RAM, something which you want as little as you can of when you're a gamer trying to make the best out of your system. I'd reccommend any of the creative X-Fi series, for their overall sound quality.
