When I switch on the Cam I see a dark patch. I am able to take pictures though nothing is visible through the display. Something must have got pressed hard due to which the LCD display is not showing up. Where can I get it fixed and how much would it cost?
If you can’t find a fix there is a guy in South Carolina who sells good used parts. I bought a LCD from him for $39.00 and it works great. I think his email is gerald.ray@aa-ark.com

Cameras at certain levels of sophistication are considered 'disposable'
In other words like most other small electronics there is no repair or spares set up.
That is not to say there are none - parts from salvaged items are available
but the reality is the cost of those parts place techno time make it uneconomic.
If you can live with out it then go for it
otherwise a few bucks more and you get the latest piece of kit.

Smithiboini,
Do you have a warranty on this Cam? I would try calling Best Buy for details on a broken LCD display as well as the cost. The cost is dependent upon what needs to be done, whether it is wiring, pixels, or needing to replace the whole screen.
To replace the whole screen may cost in the neighborhood of $200-@300. If the cam can still take pictures, try using the old fashioned routine and peer through the lens if you can wait.
