You have to make a separate nested animation (try to avoid tweening by having everything as symbols) and place/drop that movie into the mouse hover event of the intended button...

Actionscript to playback to a certain frame

you need to make sure that your button is a button not a movie clip.
then enter the following:
on (release) {
//Movieclip GotoAndStop Behavior
_root.gotoAndStop("5");
//End Behavior

}

were it says 5 change to another frame number also change stop to play if you want it to auto play.

Try action script 2.0 it is easier to use:

First click on your symbol and got the behaviors menu
Then click the + symbol movie clip goto and stop or play
then click absolute and type in the frame you want

Panasonic tz5 movie files will not play in Windows only Quicktime

If the movies are recorded as .avi, then you will have to use QuickTime. One way to avoid having to select QuickTime each time is to hold the SHIFT key, right click over the video file and select "Open With". Now select QuickTime (otherwise select other programs) and scroll to QuickTime from the list and you should see a check box at the end of the list and make sure its checked. Here is a screen shot:

Now click OK and the next time you open the camera movie files, it will automatically open in QuickTime.

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. - If you find that the solution/answer I provided led you to, or resulted in a fix, please close the ticket with a FixYa! rating. I would be very grateful for your show of appreciation.

Thank you for using FIXYA!

A script in this movie is causing adobe flash player 9 to run slowly this appears on screen when trying to load gala bingo

Yes, that error happens in concurrence with an overused CPU, indicating a poorly written application or Flash movie, or perhaps just an older machine.  If you tell it not to stop the script and things go well enough, then there are no worries (and in most cases the Flash game was just taking a while go set up its environment.)

.....
If you want more information, check it out at Macromedia.com with several appropriate searches on that error and what it means for authors and programmers.

Page roptate

1. Make them as indiviual movie clips, with cyclic motion sequence with autoplay
2. Catch the mouse over the clip event to stop playing
3. Catch the mouse click event of the clip to open the link

* U may also have the data and links in separate files and rotate them with time, by another script :)

bye

Have a nice time

Was my suggestion helpful???

DuplicateMovieClip command

Don't write the code inside the movie clip. Also use the following code. I've added one more line which will move your duplicated movie clip 100 pixels right so that you can view both.

duplicateMovieClip("_root.one_mc","one1_mc",2);
setProperty("_root.one1_mc", _xscale, "30");
setProperty("_root.one1_mc", _x, getProperty("_root.one1_mc",_x)+100);

I am having two movie clips i want to disable all controls of one when other is open

Please elaborate your problem a little bit. What do you mean by "opening a movie clip"? Anyway, you can use first_mc.enabled=false; while the second movie clip is in action.

Action script

I tried your script and it all checked out fine when I ran it. Make sure you click on the first frame of layer action and open the Action Script Panel (F9). Once this is accomplished. Click on the second frame of layer action and press F6 key. Like I said everything worked out when I tried using the script you posted so, if anything I would suggest starting from scratch.
