Hi there ...I have the Kodak V803 Digital Camera..a week ago i left the camera in a -10 cold temperature in the glove box in my car..the problem is, when i try to take a shot, after the flash the screen goes dark and the camera goes to a complete freeze, nothing functions anymore ..i can't even turn it off unless i take the battery out, and put it back again..the only thing i can use in the camera and don't give any problems, is recording part, it works fine . any help would be great :(

At the moment I have my friend's Kodak camera M1033 with me, because it has some minor problems. So Your camera model is quite the same as this one.
So coming to your problem, go to the normal Photo mode and press the Menu button.
There if you search then you'll find an option 'Image Storage'. Did u find it yet? Good. Now according to your problem, it must have been at 'Internal Memory', so set it to 'Auto' and you're good to go!

Your camera's internal memory can only hold up to 10 pictures ( if it's set to capture at full megapixels). If you want to take more pictures or videos, you will need to add a memory card (SD or MMC card).

Here is a breakdown of the number of pictures you can take with the internal and external memory:


The 8.0MP to 1.2MP in the table is the resolution/quality setting of the camera. You can adjust it if you want for your camera to hold more pictures. However, lower setting (megapixel) lowers the quality of the pictures.

Something kind of like that happened to my camera, I just had to send it back, and they said that the LCD screen was cracked. :]
