Question about Televison & Video
Hello Ms. Markham,
I'm sorry to hear of your troubles.
Offhand, to your post/description of "...blank and ...not receiving a signal..." could mean a couple of possibilities:
1. the TV's connection to your cable provider is loose, open or disconnected. It is also possible that it is your cable company's line going to your TV;
2. if you are using Satellite TV, it is possible that the dish has been misaligned, the receiver is not working or the subscription needs to be updated;
3. if the TV is connected to DVD or VCR, it is possible that those units are the one in question;
4. Should it be the TV itself, you need to post back more details like:
a. does it power on?
b. are there any blinking lights, if yes what's the sequence, the color?
c. if it does power on, can you see the channel number and/or the volume level indicator on the screen when you press the appropriate buttons on the remote?
In the meantime, you can try doing a full reset by removing the plug from the mains/outlet for a couple of hours. This is meant to hopefully reset the TV and is considered a "blind man's approach" not knowing any other information.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or for any additional information you can share pertinent to the TV's symptoms/problems.
Good luck and kind regards.
