I'm unable to get my Belkin Wireless Universal Extender to successfully connect, find and boost my wireless connection. Upon set-up I successfully "synched" the unit to my router's IP address using the "Auto" button, but as soon as I move the extender 5 feet away from the router, it's unable to "re-find" the signal, and "boost" it! It worked beautifully when the router was on the other side of my house -- placed the extender mid-way in the house, 3 rooms away from the router! But now, I can't get the extender to re-find the signal after synching it to the router -- in the same room! Help! I've reset and unplugged the extender multiple times, and successfully synched it to the router using the Auto button multiple times. Thank you!

Do you have the range extender set up on the same live in the fuse box? If you have the one side on a breaker on the opposite side of the fuse box from the othrr side, it will not work well at all. That is why I encourage people not to waste their money on these things and get a decent wireless system so that you dont have problems.
You should have got a cd with the router when purchased, put it in the laptop or computer drive, connect the yellow cable to the laptop/computer and the modem under any lan ..it should automatically start etc..follow instructions as it sounds like the extender needs configuring.
You will need to get hold of a Belkin Wireless G Universal Range Extender relays the signals of your
wireless network and extends its range model number F5D7132 from PC world or another online dealer.
You will still need the wireless router as the
central connection point, using the booster your network now reaches further I have one at the top of the stairs with the Router downstairs to I can browser wirelessly in the loft conversion of my old house
you can access belkin router with following link. http://192.168.15.1 if you still face same issue then you have to reset it. Press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router. What do you mean by "wireless bridging"? Does it mean wirelessly
connecting both routers? (ex. Zyxel is at location A and Micronet ais
at Location B and you'll wirelessly connect them). If this is what you
mean, then it might not be possible since those are two different
brands and possibility is that they will not work with each other when
they're wirelessly connected unless one or both routers have the
capability to do so.
