Setting up voip on nec ipk2 phone systems?

a customer has multiple sites, & would like them linked via voip. does he have to upgrade TO (BDSL) LINKS BETWEEN SITES? & how to programm xen ipk2 phone system to work with voip?

The easiest way is to set up a different extn number range for the sites, then in the system settings in the number scheme you programme the system with the ip address of the distant end against the extensions. Obviously you need a VPN between sites but it works really well as we have a number of installations like this
