My hardware error 0502 continues to pop up each and every time I attempt to print. There is no paper jammed anywhere. I have vaccumed out the inside of the printer thinking perhaps it was dust, no luck. I am now ready to throw it through the wall. any other suggestions?

I am having the same problem. Have tried changing cartridges, cleaning printer out, etc. No luck. Mine will generally print half a page and then give the Cartridge Stall error.

I am having the same problem with my A940. Everytime I try to print I get the 0504 error. I have replaced cartidges, and tried just about everything. Some say it is the decoder strip coming loose, mine is in place, not loose or worn. Any fixes? I bougt a new printer but my try to uninstall the software and reinstall, just a try.

I have a lexmark all in one and my little boy put his hands in and pulled the clear strip that runs just above the toothed belt. This caused my cartridge to slam over one side and cause a stall. Check that the clear strip is not slack, reach in and bend holding bracket back to tighten. It worked for me.

Hmmm...not too good on this one. Seems that maybe there's some paper jamming the runners or mechanism under the head carrier. Check that first, but be careful, since it's delicate under there

I ran out of both black and color ink. I replaced the black ink b/c I do not print in color. But I cannot complete the alignment steps without the color ink.

Lexmark printers usually require both cartridges to have ink left in them to continue printing. But try to press the Cancel button for the Alignment process (this is not recommended). Then try to print a document again to verify that you are able to continue printing without an empty color ink.
If that doesn't help, I would suggest you replace your color cartridge with a new genuine Lexmark cartridge.

I HAVE JUST REFILLED MY LEXMARK X2550 PRINTER COLOR CARTRIDGE NUMBER 35, BUT A MASSEGE ON MY PC SAYS: "Invalid Cartridge". How do l get it to be recognised so that l can use it?

hello

35 is color ink cartridge .. high yield,

A new color print cartridge needs to be installed.

If available, click the Continue button on your computer screen to print using the

black (or photo) print cartridge. (The Continue button is available only at the

beginning of a print job.)

Note: A variable amount of ink remains in the color print cartridge.

Follow these steps to replace the color print cartridge in your printer:

1 Cancel the print job if not already canceled.

2 Replace the color print cartridge with a new cartridge. For more information,

see "Removing a used print cartridge" on page 35 and "Installing print

cartridges" on page 35.

3 Print again.

To order supplies, click Order Ink on your computer screen. You can also see

"Ordering paper and other supplies" on page 40 in this guide.

Do both stalls need to contain a cartridge, in order to print?

Hi

Yes you are right both the stalls should contain cartridge. However, it is not necessary that the cartridges should contain ink. One of the cartridges can be empty.

Please put empty cartridge on the carriage, even if you want to print a BW document.
