    Hi,

You need to post the brand and model of your PC or at least the motherboard.

    Good luck and kind regards.

    Hello:

Tell me the model of your PC, If ever the soundcard is add-on then tell me the model also. so that i can search the driver for you to download.

If ever you have a CD/DVD Utilities enclosed in the PC from the vendor then you should install that to resolve the problems.

You must install the all the driver in series. from "chipset", VGA, Audio, Lancard, Modem,USB.

    May this help. REgards, Melnavz

Pls help me with my sound,i cant listen to music.i reinstalled window XP and thenwhen the system finaly came up i found out that i can no longer hear any sound when i try to play an audio cd

You need to install the audio driver to hear sounds. You need to identify the audio card and if you do not have the audio driver CD, then you can download it from the manufacturers WEB site.

When j turn on my acer aspire which is only ntwo weeks old it dosent actually turn on there is nothing on the monitor it is just black and it makes a funny sound and then you cant switch it off. please...

2 weeks old? Time to bank in on that warranty. If you can hear weird sounds, there's some hardware failure and it should be covered under a warranty.

No sound devices on my sony vaio VGN-CR322H laptop

Pl check the whether all driver from OEM have been installed including MB and try to reinstall the driver it should work fine. or reinstall the SP2 for win XP. then install the OEM driver again, this should work, else there might be hardware problem.

Computer can't find sound device

START - My Computer (RIGHT CLICK) - Properties - Hardware Tab - Device Manager button - click on the sound, video and game controllers - on the drop down menu you should see sound codec - either right click and UPDATE DRIVER - or delete sound codec’s and restart, XP will install suitable sound drivers.
If that doesn’t work then try installing sound drivers from the computer manufacturer.
If you have a big X on the sound codec or your third party drivers than it’s a hardware issue.
If replacing the drivers’ doesn’t work then it's a hardware issue. If you have onboard sound card then you will need to replace the mother board. I hope it's under warranty.
