If one GFI is tripped (No working) then I agree nothing will work;
Check to be sure the GFI is Active by plugging a lamp into it.
If the lamp doesn't work then do 1 - 4 repeat.
1) Press rest
2) Check with Lamp
3) Replace GFI
4) Check with Lamp
No need to install a GFI on everything, The one GFI is most likely wired to trip for all 120v circuits.
It may be that the bulb and starter are not inserted correctly. The message indicates that something is not making contact. Make sure they are seated properly and firmly. They need to be twisted, like installing a fluorescent light bulb.
If the bulb begins functioning, but you are still seeing the message, push the reset button, then turn the machine off for a minute or two. If everything is installed correctly, the light should work, and the message should be removed.
that lamp timers are only there to give you an idea that the lamp may fail soon. the tv will count to a certain number of hours and then give the message on screen. most tvs the number will be around 4000hours or so. i suggest using the tv until the lamp fails you may change a lamp that has many many many more hours when you dont need to. there is a timer that you can reset if you consult your owners manual so the message will not show up any longer.
the projector will not know that u have replaced the lamp!u will have to tell it that a new lamp has been installed
to do this go to the menu & find reset lamp hours option & do a lampo reset.the lamp hours will reset to zero & then the replace lamp message will nt appear!
1) Press the POWER button to turn your TV on. Make sure you are set to Cable/TV reception. If the "replace lamp. Reset Lamp timer" notice appears, press "EXIT" on your remote. 2) Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON on the TV set (not the remote, the actual TV set) 3) Continue to press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button and press and hold the PIP (Picture in Picture) or SPLIT/PLAY button on your REMOTE control (your are pressing and holding BOTH of these buttons at the same time now). 4) After 5 or 10 seconds (be patient), the lamp serice menu will appear and say your lamp counter has been rest to '0' (zero). That's it, you are all done.
Now, I continue to have the power shut off after a few minutes of play. I think it is a problem with the cooling fan. Damn it all anyway.
This proceedure should work for your model to reset the lamp meter.
Lamp Time Reset Procedure:
