You a having an USB cord i think. The images will be stored in the memory card.Plug your cell to the PC.In MY COMPUTER a new drive will appear. That contains your memory card. You can now copy the images from that & paste them on your hard disk.

How do i transfer my pictures to my computer

Two ways - either load the software that came with the camera to your PC, and use the USB lead (also provided with the camera) to connect the PC and camera, then download your images that way -
OR
Get a USB card reader and put your media card in that, in which case the computer will just treat it as another disc drive, and you can drag and drop the pictures to your HDD.

I have a tiny 4 GB micro SD thing in my cell phone. The phone also came with a larger SanDisk adapter which the little one fits inside of. I put it in and then put the adapter in my digital camera...

Are you trying to access photos taken by your phone by putting the card/adapter in your camera? That won't work, as the camera won't recognize pictures that were taken by something else. You'll need to get a card reader (as low as $7) if your computer doesn't already have one.

I have a D5000 Nikon and a Panasonic SD/HC 4GB card. I have formatted the card and taken a number of pictures. I have loaded the necessary soft ware supplied with new camera but cannot download any...

If you are using a card reader of some sort (other than using the camera to download the images), it may not be SDHC compliant. Have you tried using the camera to download the images via the supplied cable? If you've taken the images in RAW format, that could also be the problem. Try using a 2gb or smaller card in the camera to take some images and then download them using your usual method. If it works with the 2gb card but not with the 4gb, it's likely your reader isn't SDHC compliant.

You can store any multimedia files
on your phone’s memory in My stuff

of your pictures, sounds, videos and
games. You can also save your files to a
memory card. The advantage of using
a memory card is that you can free up
space on your phone’s memory.
