Which OS is it running?
Has the keyboard/machine suffered any trauma?

If not, mouse to updates in your OS and see if any dates and /or times correlate to the issue. You may be able to roll back any of those by doing a RESTORE to a date prior to the problem.

If you do not understand how to do this yourself I or someone may still be able to help you but it will be OS specific.

Turn it on turn it over and see if the fan is operating. If not power your lap top off and replace the fan. You may have to not use this computer until the fan is replaced it is advisable not to. The smell you have may be dust smell when it gets hot. Clean throughly and make sure that all the dust is out of your computer. Also recommended a lap fan also which goes underneath the laptop to assist with cooling.
Lap tops are very touchy and need to be kept cool at all times otherwise you will be purchasing a new lap top if you do not take care of the cleaning or the cooling or the fan not working or spinning slowly. Check all this out. Critical if you do not understand what I mean take your computer to a local shop for immediate care. I hope this assisted you. John

Hello, I have Toshiba Satellite L675 Model lap top. My web camera failed to initialize the application. The error message said check your camera device and restart your computer or application again. But it is not still functional. My question is Is the model built web camera? how can I check the device? how Can I solve the problem to be my web camera functional? Thank you for help

It seems your system is infected by virus... you need to run a virus scan with an up to date antivirus.. boot into the Safe Mode with networking and see if you can give a try with this or not.. Good luck.. [email protected]

You can try the original OS cd and repair the installation of the OS.

If that does not work then see if you can roll your computer back to a date prior to the problem starting.

Computers no longer come with hardcopy manuals, instead the manuals are a file on your computer. Go to your start menu, click on all programs, and there should be a folder saying something like Toshiba Documentation, which will contain your manual.
