Well, you mightwant to check under options if your enabled the ringing. and set it up. if you are not able to see anything regarding about alarms, might as well check your manual for further instructions on how to manually check and make an alarm. hope this helps.

From what I have already experienced so far, some WM6 builds seem to be prone to have their notifications queue messed up.
Google for 'checknotifications_arm.cab', intall it on your device, and tap on 'Options > Settings...', tick both checkboxes there. Tap ok,' and 'Clear', at the top of the application's screen. Your notifications queue will be free of garbage, now.
Then, go to your Calendar application, choose a day which has the next events with notifications (reminders), Edit each one of them twice: one to delete the Reminder settings, and another one to reset them (you'll notice that at the 2nd edititing action for each event, the Reminder settings will be shown as they were, prior to their deletion - less work to be done!). This will set Calendar entries in the notifications queue.
Your reminders should work from now on.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
i want to format my o2 xda orbit , just because i am unable to use internet via wifi , previously it was working fine, i am unable to receive or send any text message don't know why , whenever i receive a message from any one it only displays "the content of this message cannot be displayed" , i am unable to change my clock function , cannot access alarm , it happens when last night my battery was low so my mobile gets shut down , as i turned it up the alarm rings but on the main menu reminder is coming and i am unable to exit it. please help me out from these problems.
Thanks in advance
Don''t use the general options (from the main screen), but go to your calendar first. Then click the wheel and you'll find "Options" a little bit further down. When you choose this, it will lead you to the calendar options, where you can set the "Keep Appointments" field to 15, 30, 60, 90 days and forever. Choose to your liking. Don't forget to save your choice.
If this didn't work, please come back and I am happy to look firther into it.
Try the following....
Open Active sync on your PC.
Double Click on Calendar.
Change the settings such that it syncs only 0 past and 0 future appointments.
SYNC (this will clear all calendar items on the IPAQ)
Now go back in to those Calendar settings, and set it back to the default which is 2 past weeks and All Future appointments.
SYNC (this will now reload all appointments into your Ipaq)
Yes, this blinking green light is an appointment notification. So if you set up an appointment for September 30th, 2005 at 9:00 AM with a reminder set to 1 day....then on Sept 29th at 9:00AM, the IPAQ will turn itself on and a reminder screen will appear on your IPAQ. After a length of time (the default of which I can't remember now) the Ipaq will turn itself off, but will leave that green light flashing. When you then turn the IPAQ back on, the reminder screen will again appear and you can choose to dismiss the reminder or snooze it.
The Menu: VIEW - Categories option at the bottom, has all categories checked off. However, the logic dictates that it will only show the categories checked off, and if any appointment (appointments being made in outlook are not categorized) with no category would not show in the pocket pc. The logic written into the software, is, if no categories are checked off, then it will show ALL appointments. It would be nice if there was an option in the category view menu to SHOW ALL, but there isn't. You just have to uncheck all the categories.
