Toro 2 stroke snow thrower wont stay running when it's cold out side. It worked in the fall when I tested the engine. Now it starts after I prime it, but shuts off after a second.

The fuel pickup tube in the carburetor is probably clogged. I don't know how handy you are, but you have to remove the carb, disassemble it and blow out all the orfices with compressed air and possibly run thin wires into the tubes and holes. Good Luck! the last time I had to do this was in the middle of a snowstorm!

It is best not to use starter fluid. Aerosol carb cleaner is what I use.
Change the spark plug being sure to set the spark plug gap as recommended in the owner's manual. Then clean or change the air filter. Finally use new high test gasoline. good luck.
