SOURCE: Frigidaire GM deluxe electri dean (electric oven wall unit)

if you feel through the insulation you can find the two wires that attach to the element pull them through to plug the element back on but there is no plug per say but first are you sure the element is good were there no wires on the element when you removed it should have been two spade connectors with wires on them attached to the element hold my rating till you reply

SOURCE: Kenmore electric stove heating element how to replace

A replacement is usually around $40. There are usually 2 screws holding the element in the back of the stove. Turn off the power and remove the element. There are usually only 2 wires. It really doesn't matter which goes where. Install the new element and see if it will shut off when oven reachers temp. If it continues to heat, there is another piece that needs to be replaced. If there is a contactor or relay replace it, If not the thermostat needs to be replaced. Sometimes when the element burns out it shorts to the ground and fuses the contacts forcing the element to stay on. Sometimes you actually have to turn off the power to the stove.

SOURCE: maytag electric oven - MER5770AAQ. lower heating element not work

Hi, Unplug the oven and remove the element to test it. Check the element and see if there is continuity. If the element is open, replace it. It can be bad even tho it doesn't appear bad.

I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: kenmore electric range - oven temp low and takes forever to heat

if lower element tests open with continuity meter then it for sure is bad. i would also check the wire ends that connect to the element and/or the control board, they could have loosened allowing a bad connection and low voltage to elementor burnt off.. most ovens do not use the broil element at all during the bake cycle, only during the broil cycle.. some however do utilize the broil element during baking, but at a lower wattage or something..
best of luck,
ttfn

Whirlpool built in electric oven bake (bottom)heating element does not heat up only tot heats when in bake mode

CHECK FOR CRACKS IN THE BAKE ELEMENT. IF THE UNIT IS NOT HEATING THE BOTTOM, BUT THE TOP IS STILL HEATING, YOU MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO REPLACE THE ELEMENT. THIS IS A 220 VOLT OVEN WITH 110 VOLTS ALWAYS GOING TO THIS ELEMENT, SO TURNING OF THE BREAKER IS VITAL FOR SAFETY PURPOSES. WITH AN OHM METER, UNINSTALL THE ELEMENT AND CHECK BOTH WIRE CONNECTIONS FOR OHMS. YOU SHOULD GET SOME KIND OF READING BETWEEN 10 OHMS AND 500 OHMS. IF YOU'RE NOT AT LEAST GETTING A SOLID READING, REPLACE THIS ELEMENT.

How do you replace the bottom heating element

Turn off power to oven, remove two screws on heating element mount, pull heating element from wall of oven, remove two screws connecting electric leads to heating element.

To install new element, reverse steps. Make sure screws connecting heating element to wires are very tight -- otherwise they will arc.

The fan and oven light in bottom oven works but not heat.

The heating element is the likely culprit as they burn out and go open
circuit..(ie ...disconnected and will not heat up )
If you can use a multi-meter , then the element can be tested using the resistance range (with the oven SWITCHED OFF )

Kenmore electrical oven

Trying to better define the problem....

Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)

To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner. Whats' you're model number?
