I have installed the Network ScanGear software and I am attempting to scan in pages from the feeder. When I press scan in the Network ScanGear program it says Scanner is offline, make sure scanner is online and try again.
The issue is that I have already switched the scan function to online on the machine. Not sure if there are any other steps necessary to get the scanner "online"

When you open the tool did you use discover or select ip adress unless the tool selecs the scanner it wont work what program are you scanning with scan tool is only a driver you also have to select scan gear tool as your scanner in your program

1) install Network ScanGear software from canon officiall site, search under ir 3300, and among all drivers there is scangear too. 2) when you install scangear, open it and press discover button, but the light scan on copier must be on, and set on ONLINE. 3) Then over eg. word2003 go to insert-pic.-from scaner or cam.-choose scangear- custom insert.
Unfortunately the IR2200 cannot scan to email etc. It can only do pull scanning using the Canon Network Scangear Tool (google it and download from Canon website and read the manual).
The IR2200i however can scan to email using Universal Send.
This unit does NOT officially support Samsung printers... but it will allow printing with some. It does NOT support multi-function printers features like scanning for any brand of multi-function printers.
What error code are you getting? Try to scan again and let it fail. Press system monitor, scan, log. Look for jobs with Result of NG. Highlight one and press details. At the top, look for Result: NG (####). It will display an error number there. What is that error number?
751 cannot connect to server 7xx cannot connect ... 8xx could connect, but error... 801 bad user/pw or firewall 802 user/permissions 899 unknown if successful, may be normal
Check additional functions, system settings, network settings, email/ifax settings. Check SMTP server IP and authentication / encryption.
Ignore POP or recieve options as they are for IFAX.
Sorry that was actually me...after i posted...it asked me to register...so i did.
Okay, you need to download Canon Network scangear from the Canon website. then take your document...put it on the top feeder...turn you scanner online...open up microsoft word 2003..insert, picture....from scanner or camera select network scangear....custom insert....then scan. The machine needs to be hooked up to a network...but note...a simple cross over cable or usb between pc and the photocopier will not work.
