You need to make sure you changed the sound device properly in windows. To do this right click the speaker in the bottom right hand corner of your screen and hit playback devices. Then select the correct device. If you don't know which you can select one and right click and hit "test". Keep trying them until you get sound out of your TV.
If that doesn't work then make sure you have the latest sound drivers. There are two audio drivers on the Gateway website that might work http://global-download.gateway.com/GDFiles/Driver/Audio/Audio_Realtek_126.96.36.19904_Vistax64Vistax86_A.zip?acerid=633675264897204477&Step1=DESKTOP&Step2=LX%20SERIES&Step3=LX6810&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=GATEWAY&SC=PA_6G and http://global-download.gateway.com/GDFiles/Driver/Audio/HDAudio_nVidia_1.00.0.37_Vistax64Vistax86_A.zip?acerid=633675265145088477&Step1=DESKTOP&Step2=LX%20SERIES&Step3=LX6810&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=GATEWAY&SC=PA_6G .Try them both and at least one of them should work. You may need to restart your computer after installing the drivers but after that everything should work fine.
First, try another input. If that works, then you may have a more complicated issue.
It probably needs a new sound board. There are a few communities that will guide you through finding the part you need, badcaps.net is one that I use. They'll ask you to take the rear panel off of the tv, and post some pictures of the board. It's pretty simple to fix when you narrow down the source of the problem, just buy the part and put it in.
check whether your sound card present in the Control panel-sound and audio devices-audio-default play back device- recording device. if not then set maya 44 as your default audio play back device, next time if you start your machine. you might hear sound as it is sure. thank you !
