Tv show pip but not regular screen.

It sounds like a problem with the tuner in the set.

Every set with PIP has either a dual tuner or one for PIP and another called Main.

To prove what your problem is hook the set up from the cable box to one of the video inputs and see if it works that way; also if a DVD or blue ray work via the rear inputs it is a tuner problem.

If set actually has 2 tuners (one for PIP and the other for main} it can be either tuner causing the problem as they are interconnected.

Confirm no problem when av inputs are used.

Even if you do not use a cable or satellite box now, that way would cost you little compared to having a tuner replaced.

Can not get pip to work

Pip has its own tuner, try getting a cable splitter to split the signal into the tv. If you have digital cable you may need a second cable box to do this. If your cable provider still sends an analog signal the splitter will work.

Sony projection tv with dual tuners; only one tuner appears to be working now.

To verify that the tuner is the problem, move the cable from the second to the first. If you don't get a signal, the tuner is bad. The main tuner is part number 859843000 and is available for $47.38 from tritronicsinc.com

How do you get to diffrent tv station to show at the same time (pip)

If your TV has built-in Duel Tuner then you can see 2nd picture in pip. In remote you have channel up-down button for main picture and another set of channel up-down for pip function to change channels in pip.

Pip on d52w20

when i was on digital cable my pip didnt work either. with sat, the box offers a pip feature. if you have basic cable or using an antanna the pip on your tv should work. maybe its just your cable or sat not allowing you to use that feature.

PIP

this tv does not have 2 tuners. So you will be unable to get 2 different channels on one screen. I have the same tv. The PIP is only good for watching a dvd/video and tv swapping only.

Pip

The tuner, since you asked, is HOW you get the second picture, so I wanted to make sure that you HAD a second tuner, as you were unclear in this and not everyone may know you need it. I was trying to assist you, but it seems like you may not want that assistance. Good luck with your issue.

RCA D61W130 tv

this unit has two tuner modules. one is the main tuner and the other is the slave or the pip tuner. it would apear from your description that the main tuner has failed. it is possible that this can be replaced.

Picture in picture

i am not familiar with this model, but on most sets you will have a button on the remote to activate pip, when active you should be able to adjust channels on the small display with the remote and cycle through inputs. depending on the tv you will either have 2 inputs for your cable/sat/tv feed, or will have 1 with a dual tuner.
check the connections in the back for a second cable input, or hook up a dvd/vcr/game console/etc to test the pip.
start dvd or tape playing, press pip button to display the mini-screen, then use the tv/vcr or input button to cycle through the modes and see if one pops up. most tvs that have pip will also have a swap button on the remote, it may be labeled with text, or it may just look like one screen overlaying another, press that one to swap between displays.

hope this helps,

PIP fuzzes out, then snaps back in

I would guess to say the tuner for the pip is bad.
