Hey Guys and Gals I have the solution to your problem. Your channel memory on the remote has been forgotten. Simply navigate through your menu on the remote and rediscover the channels and your issue should be solved. I had the same issue it just took me a little time to figure it out.
BTW if you are hooking up your TV with a direct cable connection in the back without a box, and you go to the menu and do a search for air/cable channels it will even find the channels in between the regular broadcast stations (i.e. between 2 and 3 there is 2.1. which is channel 2 HD and so on for the regular stations that broadcast HD channels). Cheers and good luck the Sharp Aquos is an awesome TV!

Connect the TV to the Comcast box using an HDMI cable, then set input on the TV to HDMI - that's all. You then select channels on the Comcast box , not the TV (although the TV remote can be programmed to change channels on the cable box)>
Try to reload the the remote by using the universal remote code for comcast cable. This number should be available in your owners manual or on the Sharp website. You should search the websites frequently asked questions and troubleshooting sections for you model of television to see if someone already has had the problem answered. If all this fails you must contact the customer service for both the remote and television and get help. Hope this helps you with your problem.
If you have a cable box (otherwise known as a set-top-box) that you have to turn on when you turn the tv on, and you use to change your cable channels, the LG remote will not control it. The LG remote is strictly for the tuner built into the television, and is not capable of controlling the cable box.
You probably see "function not available" because you are viewing the picture on an external input of the tv (component, composite, etc). Your tv cannot tune stations in when it is set to an external input that you use to watch DVD's, cable boxes, games, and other devices. The tv is telling you that you can't change channels if it is on an input.
Unfortunately there is no listing. I suggest taking a little time to sit next to the television with an notepad to go through each channel one at a time to label what stations come in on what channel numbers. Sorry.
