is the rca port broken or just not getting a signal? if it's truely broken, replace or repair the main board. if it's just a signal issue, reset the settings to factory default. try hooking up your computer and see if that works.
if you can get a menu when you press the menu button, reset the settings to factory default. if you don't get a menu, the color wheel or the dmd chip is bad. either way, you'll have to replace the entire optical engine. and unfortunately, infocus no longer has any more in stock.
the colorwheel motor does burn out after a while (from heat and dust), but as long as it spins at the right speed, you won't see a problem in the image. if it's making noise, it's going to go soon. it does need replacing. however, infocus does not sell individual parts for the x1 optical engine. you will need to replace the entire engine, which costs up to $2000. so, enjoy the last few hours with your machine and look into getting another.
yes indeed. that is the colorwheel. it spins and sincs with the dmd chip to give you color and an image. unfortunately, infocus does not sell individual parts for the optical engine. you will need to replace the entire engine (which is almost $2000). time to get a new projector.
first try another computer cable. if same results, press the "auto image" button on the projector. if that doesn't work, press menu, select settings, then factory reset, and "yes". if you still have the same problem, the eca (main board) is bad.
Hello Carmen, Well this can usually be caused by one of two things. #1 the main board has failed and needs to be replaced. #2 The firmware's flash data has been corrupted and need to be re-flashed. Both of these solutions will need to be performed by an authorized technician. I have parts for these projectors if you want to learn more regarding this you can contact me at, email@example.com
