Question about Acer InviLink 802.11b (91.49C10.002) Wireless Adapter
Can't get Acer Aspire 9410z wifi to work, tried drivers from Acer website but doesn't seem to work. Are there special drivers for the Acer Invilink 802.11b/g wifi system?
I have the drivers for aspire 9410z at this link ( for xp pro )

When you download the Wireless driver from Acer or from your Driver CD go into your Control Panel then click on Add New Hardware and search you will come to a list of drivers and it will say you have No Network Controller click on that and scan your computer after that it will start loading the drivers and updating the controller then restart your computer and you will have WIFI / Wireless...

Simple, its a DELL wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-Card, get the drivers for this or install Service Pack3. This solved all my problems.

I`m not sure if I`m exactly on the same page.
I`m also a downgraded Vista to presently an XP, and my wireless is not working. The hardware doesn`t even show up (if this is the same problem you guys are facing). I`ve already downloaded the SWSetup but that didn`t do anything.
Am I doing something wrong? =(

I had a similar problem with my two Acer Aspier One netbooks. I tried everything suggested in every Forum I could find, but what finally solved the problem was so simple - just get farther from the router. As long as I'm working 30 feet or more from my router at home, I NEVER get a dropped connection, but the closer to the router the netbook gets, the more frequently the WiFi connection is dropped. I've tested this out on both my new Acer netbooks. When they are in the same room with the router, the connection drops several times per hour (or doesn't even find the connection). We're going on two weeks now, with no dropped connections!

These drivers worked for me. My Acer 9410z has an Atheros sticker on the bottom, so I looked for that.

IMO, serie 9410Z is vista-based, so when you have XP installed, you must use a XP driver, meanwhile serie 9410 is for XP then I think you should try the driver for that version (e.g go to http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/portal20.cfm?website=AcerPanAm.com/au&siteid=8116&areaid=12&formid=3394#results and find the correct driver for XP)
