Open your laptop case(Not LCD case) & see the mechanical portion is damaged. IF possible change this parts by byeing secondhand parts from scrap area/ put some synthetic(Do not use petrolium gum) gum & plastic & finish it properly. I think IF you can make it properly it could solve your problem.

How do I close the 16 open browser tabs on my 10in digiland tablet? It won't !et me open a new tab bc 16 is the max. I can view them and open them but no option to close any/all.

From the home screen, if you look at the bottom of the screen.. the square which is second from the right should bring up all apps currently and previously used. You should be able to tap the X on the top right of each app box to close them individually. Alternatively, opening a browser window then to the right of the address bar is the amount of open tabs you have.... tapping on the number should bring up the open tabs... give them all a little time to completely load up, then you should be able to close them the same as above.
Hope this helps you solve your problem :)

My asus screen keeps flickering

I would open the back cover with a flat metal opening tool like this:
then disconnect the battery 1st before anything. Check the LCD cable which is silver and runs from the MB to the LCD top to bottom over the battery. It looks kind of like a stick of gum. They often become loose and just need to be reconnected and secured better with some electrical tape. Be careful with the clips. I'm almost certain that is where your problem is and you should be able to fix it without much trouble.
Good luck

Follow steps below. Instead of wipe data factory reset. Wipe cache. And reboot. If that doesnt work more issues may be present. You may loose some files or data. Ive never had it happen but i dont want you to be uset if it does.

Cannot open my laptop

The latch is magnetic and if it breaks while closed, it will be stuck closed. To open it, you can slip a business card or something similar between the screen and the keyboard at the corner, just inboard of the rubber bumper and slide it across from left to right (I believe) while exerting a slight upward pressure on the screen and this will open it.

Be sure to replace it as soon as you can to avoid breaking the plastic "Screen Alignment Guide Pins" off. This will happen if the screen is not latched firmly and is allowed to rotate while in the closed position. The guide pins are impossible to get, as they are long discontinued. You would have to replace the entire palm rest to have them back.

My Galaxy 10.1 has a responsive screen and occasionally opens programs that i'm not clicking or opening.

It should open to where it was last when you closed it. Have you tried putting it somewhere and closing it and see where it comes up next time you open it?

Pen not detected on especific zones of display

it's a digitizer (hardware part of LCD screen) problem, U can try to buy that part and replace it or just squeeze a little bit LCD screen on the edges around (don't squeeze the screen itself but just black plastic frame around the screen) - it helped my Toshiba for a while :)

Toshiba Portege Video problem

I found the same problem on one that I bought from a guy for $100. He had been picking it up by the screen and every connector in the screen and the pivot came loose. I was able to tighten every thing back up and now I have a real nice laptop.
