Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Turning on and off....

My sandisk will not connect to any computer, also when I try to turn it on it will say Refresh Database then keep on turning on and off.

Turn it off properly, don't just switch the "switch" off since it will tend to malfunction the system.. Then reconnect the MP3 player.

Try this

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Have you removed the battery, wait then reinstall it to try to reset it? Been the Sansa website and their FAQ or tech support?

"refresh database failed" how do I do a database refresh?


i have the same problem ... refresh database fail .. i can put songs on the player but it doesn't show them or play them :-( HELP!!!!
