Question about Dryers
I purchased a new Cabrio Washer and Dryer, which was delivered on Jan 14th. I am very happy with the washer, but the dryer has made a loud noise from day one. I called Appliance Gallery in NJ where I bought the washer and dryer. They would not replace the dryer unless the Whirlpool authorized the replacement, and said that Whirlpool would probably deny replacement and suggest service. Appliance Gallery gave me the number for A&E Factory Service.
On January 19th a service man came and advised I needed a new motor, which he advised would take 2 to 3 days to receive at my address. It did not come for over 1 week and we had to reschedule the service date.
On February 1st a new motor was installed and the problem still exists. I then called Whirlpool who refused a replacement and said I would have to call service again. I asked Duane, Whirlpool's supervisor how many times would I have to have service for the machine before it finally being replaced. He said it would not be replace and I would have to service the machine for as long it takes to fix.
February 4th another service man from A&E came and he now has ordered another motor for installation on Feb. 11th.
I have worked for an airline for 29 years and airline policy was the customer is always right and customer service was important to fix the problem and make the customer happy. In addition my husband has a small humidifier business and when a unit is making loud noises, he replaces them without question.
I am shocked at Whirlpool's lack of customer service. I paid over $700.00 for this machine and it is not even a month old. Whirlpool does not want this inferior product back, neither does Appliance Gallery. Why should I as the consumer be stuck with their problem?
This problem could be that the shipping parts/bolts were not removed or may not have had all of them removed.
Also it is very important to balance the machine by using a level on the sides and or top of the machine and adjust the legs.
