What's your operating system? if it's xp and above (or win2000 if it's still existing lol) just use a wusb54gc v1 adapter or you can install a wmp54gs adapter (it's linksys - it work best for me).
Match the network card speed with the most bandwidth your router is designed to deliver. An example would be 100 megabytes a second. Wireless "G" routers typically deliver this....Wireless "N" routers can deliver up to 1000 Megabytes a second or also know as a Gigabyte card.
An Ethernet adapter card that has a capability of a transfer rate, of up to 1000 Mega Bits per Second.
Just about all of them nowdays.
Older versions were 10/100, but now for the specifications it will state 10/100/1000 for a decent network adapter card.
