Re: cant connect to the internet
Red light means moden is out of sync with the isp. Power cycle. by unpluging the power from the back of yoru modem, unplug Your router and also turn off your computer. Turn on your modem frist wait until all lights are green>If they dont turn green. CHeck your cables. make sure telephone line is plugged into it or cable line. . There should be a cable pluged in from your modem to your wan port. Then from your router to your computer. Is this a wired or wireless connection. If its a wireless connection i need to know what what os your using. so i can help you set it up.

Once you have everyhting hooked up you probalby need to power cycle the router and your modem. First power cylce your modem and once all the lights come back in then power cycle the router- once that is up i would try restarting the computers and then give it a try.
first check your computers internet connection settings.and also check for any updates that could pretain to your modem/or computer.the problem is with your main computer,and not with the router.second check your firewall,make sure the correct port is open to let the traffic in.
Slow speeds is caused by interfearace from cordless phones. 2.4ghz. also could need a power cycle. unplug the power from the back of your dsl modem. unplug the power from your router. shut down your computer. Plug in the modem frist, wait until all lights are green. plug in the router. then when lights are normal on that. turn on your computer. try your connection again. is it slow when you try to acess the router ip address?
