Well maybe he set the MHZ higher than what your processor speed. so all we need to do is to reset your BIOS.. to do that remove the CR2032 flat battery on your mother board(in case you never seen one its silver and circle in shape) after you have removed it put it back again just exactly before you removed it then you will be just fine just set your time and date on the BIOS setup page.. Hope this one works. removing the CR2032 and putting it back it will reset the BIOS setup to its factory settings.

Okay assuming that your bios still comes up.. if so pop in the windows 7 disk and go to bio settings select that your cd drive or dvd drive whatever it is that you use as primary boot so that it detects the windows 7 disc. But if you don't get bio settings then what I would do is take hard drive out and take it to a friends or a different computer and have it as a slave or seconds hard drive then when you load up go to my computer right click that drive and find options for reformat or manually delete everything off that drive.

Here is a link to a manual for this computer.
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx260/en/ug/solvprob.htm#1166448
Look where it states Diagnostics lights and see if the light patterns in the back panel lights match any on the list. It might help you on pin pointing your issue. If it is a memory issue and you have already replaced it then it is the motherboard.

Recover BIOS d845gebv2 motherboard my motherboard does not boot.monitor displays intel desktop board in blue screen

Right after you power the computer on start tapping F2 rapidly on the keyboard until you are in the BIOS setup. When you are in the BIOS setup, check to see that the computer recognizes your boot device and that your boot order is correct. Also, if you have changed any jumpers on your mainboard; change the back.

Pc restarts & display "System has recovered from serious error"

If you have *********** board manual still then try and clear the CMOS memory,

turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back
take the side off
remove the cmos battery
move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2
replace the battery
put the side on
replug in the power lead
boot the computer

if that doesn't work then try to fix the bios.
here are instructions for that:

I need good processor what is better intel pentium or amd athlon?

Hi nestorjnk, if your question is in referance to the Intel D915GAG motherboard you can only use an Intel CPU. The supported CPU list for this motherboard can be found on the link below;
http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d915gag/sb/CS-026959.htm
This is the highest CPU that can run on the D905GAG motherboard; (Click the link).

You must also have the bios version, 0391 or greater to support this CPU. Click on this link;
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=1672&OSFullName=Windows*+XP+Home+Edition&lang=eng&strOSs=45&submit=Go%21#BIO

Your question of which CPU is better varys. I like AMD CPU's.
Others like Intel. Its more about personal likes. AMD's can take more heat than an Intel. Both require decent air flow.

Enjoy nestorjnk!
Thank you for using fixya.

- BIOS not BIO :)

- all computers, laptop/desktop/server..etc ... have a small battery, that helps keep the settings in BIOS as the user changed them !

- u;ll have to go through u're motherboard user manual to see exactly where the bios reset jumper is ! If u don't have the manual, u will see the battery (is a round and flattened 1.5 cm battery...u cant miss it, is the only one in the computer) somewhere on the motherboard (ussualy in the lower right part of the motherboard). You just have to remove it for 5 seconds or so (force it out of the soket it is in) and then replaceit back. By doing this all the BIOS settings go to the manufacters default settings...
