How can I correct error e09 f01?

I had the same problem but the reset suggested above didn't work for long. As it turns out, I had a sock stuck in my trap. Gettign to it was a pain because this model doesnt have a convenient access door in the front. I made a video below that can show you how to check the trap.

How to use PIP show another channel in TV mode

Dear Ariesky

Your TV does not support this. Normally when SONY refers to PIP, they mean you can display another analogue ( CVBS - RGB ) or Digital ( HDMI ) input simultaneously. They do not mean you can dislay two normal RF channels together, this would require a second tuner, which this set does not have.

My nighthawk is showing a E09 code. what does this mean?

Error code "E09" means you have just been "had" by the grossly under-documented "planned obsolescence feature" called, rather matter-of-factly, "End of Life". This means that ~7 years after first being powered up, the unit will, BY DESIGN, cease to function, forcing you to buy a replacement. Would have been nice of Kidde to include THAT warning on the OUTSIDE of the package. Call their "Hotline" at 1-800-880-6788 and tell them what you think of that policy. If it is still under warranty (5 or 7 years depending on date of manufacture) they should replace it. In any event, buy another one; if they replace your first one you will have twice the protection. Not a bad thing. *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. Words to live by: "Every creative act results from a sudden cessation of stupidity." -Edwin H. We have Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide Alarm E151646 model # KN-COPP 3. It showed 'err' the other night. What does that mean.

If the display shows "Err", push and hold the Peak Level button. Does the display change to "E09"? If so, then you have just been "had" by the grossly under-documented "planned obsolescence feature" called, rather matter-of-factly, "End of Life". Clock Setting problem Sony SLV-D300 DVD/VCR

I had the same problem at first as well. After an hour of frustration, I broke out the manual (imagine that! :) Come to find out, you cannot set the clock when in COMPONENT or SVIDEO mode. When I got the "For this setup, TV connection should be to DVD&VCR output" message, I can immediately switch the TV to RF mode (coax input mode) and voila!... the clock setup screen is available. I think it has something to do with the auto time sensing through the cable tv input. So, my advice - always be in RF mode (CH3 or CH4 depending on what you have the SLV-D300 set to) if you want to set the clock.

Note*** Yes, I agree it was idiocy on the part of the programmers in choice of wording for that error. A simple "Must be in RF mode to set clock" would have been much more helpful.
