the prcessory varies with clock speed and the speed for example a pentium 1 processor has a spped of 100mmx with aclock speed just 66mhz now the pentium 4 processor uses a spped of 3.0 ghz with a clock speed of 800mhz so there is deferance as the clock speed increase the speed of the computer increases

but what i'm worried about is the socket where the process goes into. for thermal issues it is expected for the socket to CHIP CREEP. Chip creep refers to the problem of chips that, over time, would work their way out of the socket. Chip creep occurred due to thermal expansion; the contracting and expanding during system heat up and cool down. you might end up replacing the mobo as well.
