Hi there. In sony tv`s the seven blinks code(sony error codes)usually indicates a high voltage shutdown(t.v has exceeded 33k volts). That is often caused by the power supply regulation and/or horizontal circuit fault. Hope this help Merry Christmas
The 7 blinks indicate a safety shutdown due to over-voltage in the high voltage section. The high voltage has exceeded 33,000V. This is usually a problem with the power supply regulator. I need to look up the specific part for you. If you are comfortable working inside the set and can solder, you should be able to repair this yourself.
There is a problem in the set, the blinking l.e.d is numbered by way of the number of blinks. It might be your IFT, better known as your high voltage transformer, those codes helps the tech isolate where the problem most likely is.
TV's always make a clicking sound as the Main Power relay turns
on. If you are asking why it then doesn't turn on, it can be many
things. The processor monitors a number of circuits and if
something is amiss, it turns off. The most common failure is the
high-voltage circuit and if the set is any where near 10 years old, I'd
plan on replacing the flyback transformer as well as anything else it
damaged while failing.
Another option is to wholesale replace the main board from an outfit like PTS Electronics at ptscorp.com.
Hope Ya Fix It!
