LG Prada - can't detect my SIM

When I've insertet my SIM and turn on my phone, it says "insert SIM card", even though it's already insert correctly? What can I do? I've already tried to clean my SIM card, so it's not because it's dirty or anything like that ?

Well, my prada phone is brand new...and my SIM does work in my old phone, but when I try to turn on the prada phone with my SIM in it, it displays the message "insert SIM card" ..and i know that my prada phone is not locked, and I've never entered my PIN code wrong ..?

I bought an LG prada phone from ebay, its apparently hardly used (I have it hear and looks brand new) the seller says its unlocked, when i put my sim in (either way) it says insert sim card. Any suggestions?

I put my sim card into another phone as the Prada had gone flat and then when I went to put it back into the Prada it says "insert sim card" - the odd thing is, the phone picks up the fact that there is an alarm set on the SIM and the SIM symbol shows up.

Try the SIM in another phone. SIM cards go bad.
If it doesnt work in the other phone it will have to be replaced. I
THis can also be caused if you set up a PIN code and it was entered in wrong too many times and you did not use the right PUK code to unlock it. THis will permanently damage a SIM card.
f it does work in another phone then your phone is no longer able to read SIM cards. Check with the manufacturer for warranty info.

My phone shows "please insert

You could try to remove your sim card.
Install battery and turn on phone without sim card.
Use phone without sim card and do some operations.
This will check if you phone is working correctly.
Turn phone off and install sim card.
Made sure sim card is install correctly.
If this does not work, it could be the sim card is bad.

Whenever I Turn On My Phone It Says That The SIM Card Must Be Inserted, Even Though It's Already In.

The SIM card may not be making proper electrical contact in the cell phone.
Try removing the SIM card and cleaning the SIM card contacts and the SIM card contacts in the cell phone with methylated spirits. Then replace the SIM card in the cell phone.

Says insert sim card when there is one in it

"Insert SIM" message is normally displayed on phones when a SIM card is not inserted on power-on or it does not detect the SIM card inserted.

Likely Causes:
  1. No SIM card inserted or inserted SIM card is damaged
  2. Inserted SIM card not positioned well in such a way as to make contact with the corresponding contact bridges on phone.
  3. Phone locked to a specific network and can only work on other networks when the firmware version is "flashed", that is completely changed to an unlocked version.
  4. The phone might be faulty (try with another good SIM, if you still get thesame message and its not one of the above reasons... it might be a transciever problem or the phone's SIM card slot's pins might be defective).
cheers.

Insert Sim Card

1. its mainly due to Sim card get older and bend. So it cannot seat well in its slot.
2. Remove the Sim card. Check whether Sim card is normal. Due to the dust on the Sim also can cause this problem
3. May be the phone's Sim slot pin allignment problem. Check whether the all pins are good.
4. Some times when phone falls to the ground makes the Sim move from its slot. So also this problem occurs.
5. if problem persists even after these diagnosis methods.
6.Contact service centre for further Rectifcation. thank you
