Fujitsu/siemens scenicview e-19-1 model 900p

Hi all, I have this monitor just over a year, when it decided to go faulty. when u power up the screen comes on then shuts off. you can turn it off and back on and the screen will come back for about 5 seconds and goes blank again..the led light stays green as if its working away ok. Anybody come across this before? any ideas where to look ? thanks Hi! I´m from Portugal, and I have the same problem with my monitor. When I bought this monitor, 7 months later, I had this problem, but I had the guarantee and the problem was solved. Now, 3 years later, i´ve the same thing. I just read here, that the problem should be whith clip JP13. Yesterday, when I opened the monitor I localeted that clip, but i dont know what to do now. I took some photos and here they are: http://img85.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img014aa0.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img016st8.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img017ek5.jpg I hope that you can help me. Thanks a lot, Andr?

Yes that is the right board in the PSU.
I have fixed one of these myself by cutting JP13 - it is on the top (cream side of the board)
Looking at this picture (and from my memory)
http://img85.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img016st8.jpg
It is one of the four wires (which are near the screw hole in the lower right area of the picture - shown running top to bottom.
From memory this was the left hand one of the four but it was clearly marked on the board
I simply cut the wire to break that circuit and bent the wires so that they wouldn't short on anything, then re-assembled - and it worked a treat!

Camera doesn't start after pressing power on button. Batteries are okey.

This can be due to many reasons and it is possible that the processor is faulty or the drive mechanism has failed to operate due to a faulty board. There is no much that can be done unless the camera is checked within, it is best to take a consensus from the Samsung service before you attempt to decide.

All of a sudden my camera display has gone off. i can not see anything on the camera screen but it can still take photos...

The LCD of your camera is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the pictures taken by the camera are seen after downloading on your PC then it is confirmed that the LCD is faulty.
You must remove the LCD panel to check the power to the LCD panel, check the flexible strip to the panel to confirm.
Take estimate of the cost and decide.

The Lcd monitor on my Canon 450 digicam is cracked--help please. Could you give me a quote. Regards Patricia

This is some problem which must be thought of well before we can think of changing the LCD display. In the first place it will be ideal to approach the Canon service centre nearer to your place or even a camera repair centre so that you might be lucky to salvage one display from a faulty Canon 450. This might works out cheaper than replacing with a new one but all the same the Canon centre can only give you the right cost. Evaluate and decide. Hope I could help you Good day

Fuji s5200, fed6v dc input with 13.8v. presume zener went down , dismantling to access???

Blimey! 13.8v into the 5v jack...
you've possibly blown fuses f701 and f702 on the power board.
These you will have to source from an electronics catalogue or find a faulty camera on ebay for donor parts.
The fuses are surface mount component type. both are 2.5A but F701 is 125v and f702 is 32v

Battries run out of power, while camera is turned of.

The batteries on the DSC-V1 will be around five years old now so that's to be expected. You need to replace faulty batteries with genuine and new Sony InfoLithium NP-FC11. Many cheaper "compatibles" exist, but at best they don't last as long and will not give any battery charge indication (they lack the InfoLithium chip) and at worst they can damage the camera.

Unfortunately, genuine batteries are so expensive that you might decide it's time to upgrade, but as the DSC-V1 is such an excellent camera it's not a straightforward decision. Newer = more megapixels, but also = noisier images. 5MP is easily more than enough for prints up to A4 size even allowing for a bit of image cropping.

See this link. If Canon determines that your problem is due to a faulty CCD (and the symptoms indicate that it is), they will repaire your camera at no cost, regardless of warranty status.

Vertical Smears (bands)

Your camera sensor is busted, or at least the chip that detects white balance. It is a common result of mishandling or pointing the lens at a very bright light like the sun. If you have the product warranty then have it replaced. If not bring it to a camera technician and have the faulty electronics repaired...

White bands and very white exposure is the common result of a faulty white balance or auto exposure function of your camera that went bust.
