dear, you don't have anything to do with it, manually. it seems that there is an internal problem. it might be a lens problem. other wise there may be a need to change any components in servicing. call the service engineer.

'Root' is normally the name of the baseline user name for computer operating systems. It sounds like the system has somehow gotten into a programming mode. Here is a link to the manual:

Please refer to page 38 about upgrading the software. You may want to try the remote code to see if the system will return to normal operations.
The sound board is out in the dvd player. Try another source, such as cable, and/or a gaming system if the tv gets sound it is for sure the sound board on the dvd player. Always check to make sure the dvd player doesn't have a mute option.
I'm having the same problem. I hooked the DVD player up to my stereo and the same thing happens. It wasn't like this before, but happened all of a sudden.
dvd player keeps saying no disc when I try to play a dvd.what can i do? worked fine until about 3 months ago. started to say no disc when disc inserted but after opening and closing 3 to 6 times it would read.now it just wont read. any ideas?
Main drive motor that spins the dvd replace with generic, when the motor gets old contacts get
corroded or woren out, ive taken apart and cleand sucessfully for a nother year on the motor.
or purchas another, the dvd must spin fast at the start, ive owend 3 of these pups for about 7
years. its the drve moter the lasers are good and strong.
I had the same problem with my PET724. I tried cleaning the lens, letting the battery run dead, even beating on it but nothing worked. When I was cleaning the lens again with some cleaning agent I accidentally slid the laser head as far away from the center as it would go. When I loaded another disc it has worked fine ever since. I have played at least two dozen discs so far with no problem.
Could be the dvd player/lens. The player sucks up dust through the player's caddy and after a while it won't read discs anymore. A cd cleaner or a good (gently dosed) blow with compressed air might help.
how do i do that?
