On my e250, it's showing 1893mb total, but after I've deleted everything, and all the folders are showing almost empty, it's saying I only have 334mb free. What's using up the rest of my memory or how can I get it back. Getting sick of hearing the same 85 songs :-)

What I would recommend you to do is to format your device... Formatting the player erases all files in the player, and oftentimes this is the best option to ensure that all files are removed and any corruption eliminated. Also, it is best to format the player when in MSC mode. 2. When the appears as a drive letter (under MSC mode), right-click on that drive letter and select "Format". On the "Format" pop-up window, click "Start" to begin the format process. 3. Follow the on-screen prompts and safely remove the player from your PC when the "Format Complete" display appears. 4. Unplug the player from the PC and when the player is powered up, the message "No Files" should appear on the player's LCD screen 5. Switch the mode back to "MTP", or continue to use "MSC". Note: It is best to use "MTP" when you are transferring subscription music to the player Then I would recommend you to get the latest firmware upgrade for your device..To get the latest firmware upgrade follow this link...

You can go into the settings option of the player from the menu, and scroll all the way down and you should see an option of format. Then it should ask you internal or external and select internal and it should delete everything on there back to normal.
If you're checking that its empty in your rhapsody program, you might want to click on My Computer and then click on your Sansa mp3 player and then go into music files and delete everything. If u want to delete everything, including videos and pictures, you can go into your rhapsody account, plug in your mp3 player and right click, scroll down and click on "format" this will hopefully delete everything on your mp3 player...if u don't apply to any of these, well....sorry i don't know how to help.
With most MP3 players, some of the memory is used for system files and software. Just delete all the things you done use (i.e. pictures, playlists, Rhapsody Channels) and whatever space you have free is what you have to work with.
If you want more memory, I highly suggest a microSD card
There may be possible reasons why your Sansa E250 would display an message on the LCD even when you've downloaded files to it:
(1) The music file type is not supported by the player. Sansa players support only MP3 and WMA files. To determine what file type your have, right click on the file type and it should display the "properties" dialog box. Check if it is MP3 or WMA. For example, iTunes music files will not work with the player, nor will WAV or MIDI files.
(2) Your music files are supported but the bit rate is not within the range that the player supports. Sansa players support MP3 files up to 128 KBPS and WMA files up to 64 KBPS. You may need to use a 3rd party music file editor to convert the files to a supported bit rate
(3) You may have saved your music files in a folder and copied the folder to the player. Your Sansa E250 will not recognize folders. Either save them in the root directory or inside the "Music" folder -- your player's default folder for music files.

Ok, I have a Sansa e250 2.0 BG. I have an extra memory card but w/e thats not part of the problem. So, when I downloaded music, I accidently put more music on the Sansa memory and it made it too full. So now it has to do a system restart everytime I turn it on. Which is really annoying. And then I tried to delete some music so It would stop doing that and I could update it, But it shows up on my computer as there being no music. So theres nothing to delete! But it says the memory is full! HELP!!!!
Chances are that you are using windows xp. open up your sansa folder to where it says pictuer, movies, ect. look at the picture to see what to do. In your player folder click tools --> folder options --> View. Under hidden files and folders click 'show hidden files and folders, click ok. The music folder would now show up where the videos and pictures are. Simply open the music folder and delete the ones you do not want. By default the songs are sorted by artist --> album --> song.
what you really have to do is:
1: Double click my computer
2:Double click Sansa e250 drive
3: Right click on the icon that looks like a disk drive and click format
BE SURE TO HAVE BACKUP OF SONGS BEFORE YOU FORMAT!!!
