Looking for drain pump on your maching first get machine out to
where you can work on it disconect from mains electricty and
turn of water valve/valves to machine disconect drain hose but keep hose at high level as water will come out even if machine
then move machine out and lean it back against wall or something rear of machine to wall at a safe angle look underneath machine drain hose andhose from bottom drum goes to pump plus two wires pump held on by twoscrews or bolts undo take pump out clean put basin or tray down to catch water
reverse action to reassemble

I would recommend sucking the water out of the drain hose with a wet shop vac. It's hard to get a pan inside the washer to catch the water once you take the hose clamps off. I had water in the machine, since my pump wasn't working and ended up with about 5 gallons of water (much on the floor) because I didn't do this.
There is a cache (basket that catches hairpins, etc) inside the rubber boot hose that connects to the pump. I took 6 hairpins and the underwire from one of my wife's bras out of it. That's what was making the noise and preventing the pump from spinning. Tell your kids to empty their pockets!

Error code E20

The E20 error code is usually something clogging the pump system.
Umplugg the machine. In the back you can access the drain hose. Pull the clamp with pliers and then the larger clamp to the tub. Pull the pump with a screwdriver there will be a black rubber still attached to the pump. Watch how you pull this there is indexing to the way the pump is mounted take a pictutre and mark the pump. Look inside the hose and see if there is something cloging it.

Does not empty after final spin cycle I have checked the pump and hoses. The only thing I see may not be right a cylinder shape is in the boot at the outlet.

Hi Peter,
So I see that your Frigidaire Affinity washer is not draining completely after the final spin. I also see that you've checked the pump and hoses as well. There are a couple of other troubleshooting tips I might suggest.
1) Make sure the standpipe isn't too tall. Maximum standpipe height should be 8' (2.4 m).
2) Check the house drain pipes to see if they are clogged. If so, unclog the drain pipes. Contact plumber if necessary.

-Best Regards-

there is an access panel on the back of the unit. 6 screws and on the bottom is a rubber hose that comes from the tub. inside that rubber hose is a filter cup. i have the same unit and mine did the same thing. took it out pulled clog out put it back together. works like a charm. hard to get at but you can do it. use a drill with a phillips head to make it quicker. Also have pliers and a pair of channel locks. Good luck and it aint the Timer TRUST ME

My frigidaire affinity washer doesnt spin during the rinse cycle.

Hi javierc569,

Before the Spin Cycle should start, all water must be drained out of the machine. If it does not start, it could likely mean the Drain pump may be clogged. Please follow my below tip on the fix:

ACCESS, DRAIN & CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER...

If this does not help, the drain pump may be faulty.

Kind Regards

How do I access the drain pump on a Frigidaire Affinity front loading washer?

If you cant access it from the front You will have to tilt the machine back as far as safely possible to access the bottom of the machine. Locate the drain pump which will be at the bottom font or back corner and remove the hose that connects the pump to the tub, you will need to have a basin ready to catch any water. You most likely have a sock or something stuck. Hope this helps

Frigidaire Affinity washer: Straining water pump? Humming.

more than likely the pump is clogged if you pull the the washer out away from the wall and then lean it back to get under it there is a hole to access the under side you can reach through to the pump then disconnect the large hose that goes from the tub to pump reach down inside of this hose remove the cup that has debris in it and clear it out remove the debris and reassemble the washer

Cant find access to the drain pump? My front load affinity will not pump, so I thought I could check the drain pump, where do I get access to punp?

If it does not have an access panel on the lower front, you have to take the entire front and top off. it is under the drum on the right side. A lot of times it is the strainer clogged at the pump. Hope that helps.
