Question about Lanier 1205 Copier

Lanier LD032c Photocopier The red spanner light is on and the screen is stuck on 'downloading, please wait'. If you could suggest a way to fix this as we have turned the machiene of to reset and it still has not fixed the problem.     Thank you for the above solution but unfortunately niether suggestions have worked??



    It is still stuck on the "Now Loading" screen.



    Is there anything else i could try?

    I have since had someone quickly look at the machiene and was told i needed a new hard drive. I have since bought a new hard drive and put it in to the machiene which has made it work, but it only works on the copier function, the printer will not work.



    Is this becuase i have changed the hard drive?



    How can i now fix this? is there software that needs to be downloaded or something??

Try a software reset which involes holding down the * and # (next to the 0) buttons for about 10 seconds until you hear a beap. You should then see "Now loading. Plese wait" and it should start up normally.

Its possible the machine has just locked up. If the above procudure dosen't work power off at the power piont and leave off overnight.

Please advise if any SC codes are present with the spanner for further help.

    If it was myself I would take of the back cover and disconnect the hard drive and turn it on without it connected. If that worked I would reconnect the hard drive and see how it went. Only attempt this if you reasonable technical - otherwise a board has failed. Only work on the machine with the power off!

    Alright the Hard drive should still allow the print and scan functions to at least show up when you hit the buttons on the control panel.



    When the hard drive is disconnected does it allow access to the print and scan functions?



    There is a format function in service mode and this could work but I would strongly recommended a service agent unless you are very technically minded.



    Now there is also a possibility that a power surge down your network has taken out your print/scan module as well as the hard drive.

Lanier 5227 scanner error


Eenter in the service mode press yellow key - 107 - red key(stop) keep press for 5 seconds,enter in the SP mode open the front door,turn OFF the main switch,wait 15 seconds close the front door,turn ON the power switch.

you need to remove the drum unit out of the machine,and take cotton rag use achohol ..rotate the drum clock wise until you see the label that stuck on it..

PAPER JAM IN TRANPORT


IF THE PAPER IS LAYING FLAT ON THE TRANSPORT WHEN THE JAM OCCURS, THE PROBLEM MAY BE A DIRTY TRANSPORT BELT SENSOR. A TECHNICIAN IS REQUIRED TO REPAIR THIS, AS IT INVOLVES DISASSEMBLY OF THE IMAGING UNIT.

Meter reading


2 ways to check the meter.

press the user tools button on the op panel. on the screen press counter. you can either view the counter on the screen, or press print counter, and it will give you a hard copy.

the 2nd way is to look behind the front cover, probably behind a piece of tape, on the right side, about half way down.
