Pull the memory in the notebook. You'll be able to read the type on the dimm. Bummer though, it will be from Acer & you'll pay top dollar for a 512Mb dimm. Your notebook will take up to 2Gb max memory. DDR2 SDRAM 400MHz or 533MHz. You'll have to call Acer & get a price if your going to match your current memory which by the way is shared with your video card. That is what is sucking your memory "bye-bye". Here is a link to your
specifications sheet.

Well these should work just fine in your Pc. Compare Acer's price to this.

Before upgrading your memory please make sure your version of windows is up to date & your system's drivers & bios are too.
Update Bios if needed. Good time to ask that is while on the phone with Acer getting a price for memory!
Good luck!

All the website say about your photo frame as far as JPEG is listed bellow. It is possible that your current pics are too big or are in an incompatible format.

Photo FormatDSC JPEG (up to 8000 x 8000), BMP

I have a MSI KM4M-L motherboard and it will not accept any other memory than the 512mb strip that is in at the moment, and this it reads as a different size. It has a Duron 850 processor.

Usually this is a BIOS problem.
Go to the MSI website and make sure you got the latest BIOS for the board, and upgrade it if you need too.

While there, download the operating manual (usually a PDF file) and look where it tells you what kind of memory is compatible with it.
You might have to put memory in slots in a certain order.
I.E. Memory in slots 0 and 2 first.
And, or, in particular on older boards the memory might have to be the same size sticks, etc.

Camera Displaying Incompatible JPEG File

Sounds like the card has become corrupted. Did you format it in your camera when you first got it? If not, what you're experiencing eventually happens. Take no more pics until you've recovered any photos that you may be missing, take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for:

http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/recovering-those-accidentally-lost.html

You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. If you don't have one, get one, they're cheap:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st?keywords=card+reader&rs=172282&page=1&rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Acard+reader&sort=price

Finally AFTER you've recovered your photos, recommend formatting your card in your camera. Look in the "tools" menu for the selection that shows your card's memory capacity, and select it. Then follow the prompts to format the card. Select "Low Level" format if asked. Note that THIS WILL ERASE YOUR CARD, so again make sure that you have first backed up your photos on your computer.

Check the maker's website for upgrades you can download that will support Vista, they may have come up with one that's been written recently. A local camera store may be able to help you extract pictures off your camera for a small fee. Most image/camera software should be able to read jpegs and mpegs.

*ist RAW converter problem

Ignoring the JPEG artifacts, which isn't about the extra grain in both the TIFF and JPEG images produced by the convertor, is it possible that different sharpness settings were used for the output images that for the on screen review? High values of sharpening without using an appropriate noise threshold value will have the effect of increasing noise/grain.

Problem with JPEG compression?

think what is happening is that Pentax is not using the maximum JPEG quality value for their high quality setting. I re-saved an image in Photoshop last night, and the JPEG quality value was set to 9. I increased it to 12, and ended up with a 3.5 MB file.
