Problem for Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera

This is my second 40d the auto focus has failed on both. The first time I returned it, now it has happened again, but I took the battery out and did a reboot and it began working again. This has happened twice. Has anyone else had this problem?

- I'm having the same problem- unless I focus manually, very few images are crisp :(

Yes this is happening to me too. I have no clue on what's causing this!
