GE Front load washer spinning too slow????

We have a GE front loading washer... Maybe 2 years old, and the other day I put a load of towels in that were soaked from a huge leak... Maybe 9 towels and a small bathroom rug. Well, when it came time to spin, It was almost like it wouldn't spin fast enough and the towels were SOAKED when I took them out... The load was split in two and the machine did fine..... Now today I tried to wash a load of towels and again, not spinning fast enough, there is tons of water in these towels! split the load in half again, and put the spin speed to Medium instead of Fast and we seem to be doing better :( So what did I do?????? HELP ME PLEASE!

A couple of things come to mind,if the micro-processor senses the load is out of balance enough, it will control the RPMs(reveloutions per minute) or slow it down in order to avoid damage to the suspension system, so readjusting the spin speed manuallly probably would help. Although that machine should be able to handle 9 large towels easily! Next thing, have you cleaned out the trap inside the lower access panel, if it is restricted you will have draining problems. Good luck !

Makes horrible noise during spin cycle only

The bearings have most likely gone bad. This is a very common problem with the front load washer when powder soap is used.

Takes hours to wash a load of towels

Just found out that there is a drain trap that can get clogged and needs regular maintenance. Take out the bottom panel by removing 3 phillips screws (7mm nut driver optional). Unscrew the trap (water will probably drain out so be prepared). Clean out debris. You may also have to remove the hose connected into the trap in extreme clogged cases. Just use pliers to release the hose clamp.
Replace the trap plug, hose (if necessary) and the bottom panel.

Good luck!!!

GE FRONT LOAD WASHER

Plugged drain hose (which you can easily remove and clean) or slow running household drains.

The drain hose is the approx.2' diameter black hose on the back of the washer that is clamped to the washer and the other end goes into a standpipe or a wall drain. Be sure to turn off your washer and unplug it and have some old towels handy and maybe a bucket!

If there is nothing in the drain pipe, then I would suspect a plug somewhere else in your house that is preventing draining.

Washer turns slow loaded or not

front load machines will normaly spin slow on first part of spin cycle this helps distribute load evenly before hi speed spin also if load is extermely off balance ..a large towel with load of light fabrics will never spin to full speed due to off balance produced by wet towel hi speed spin is normaly acheived in last 3-4 min of spin cycle

Door unlocks and won't spin or drain

it sounds like a clogged filter
Please remove the filter on the side of the machine or the front.
Make sure you have towels handy.
Clear the filter out. If your pump cant empty the machine out you will get these problems
Make sure waterline is not obstructed

Beeping on spin cycle

It is most likely out of balance, could be for many reasons.
1 could be too many heavy items such as jeans, towels, etc in one load.
2 could be the machine or floor is unlevel.
3 Could be a balance sensor needs replacing.
