Possibly (but highly unlikely) fried speakers. Try them on a different radio. If they work, you're radio is fried.

Well, I don't know what exactly you had hooked up but, the yellow wire from the Pioneer connects to the vehicle battery wire(light green) behind the radio, the red wire goes to the vehicle's accessory wire(yellow/black).There doesn't seem to a ground wire listed for this vehicle behind the radio so, you have to ground the radio to chassis (some metal behind the radio).
This should handle your power issue.

RF speaker(+) white/red
RF speaker(-) black/white

Anyone have the code to reset this radio. battery went dead now the radio will not come on ?

Try checking your fuses. If the radio doesn't come on a code is not going to do any good. As far as I know these radios don't require codes anyway.

Radio display says protect. does not emit sound.

Sounds like you have either a short in your speaker wire somewhere, wires touching in the back of the unit or a short inside the stereo itself... Try pulling the radio out and unhooking all of your speakers...Turn unit back on after all speakers are disconected...If unit still shows protect, then radio is bad...If it doesnt, power off and hook up speakers one by one and power it back on till it shows protect again....When it does, the last speaker wire you hooked up has either a crossed wire or the speaker is bad...

How do I remove the unti from the dash if I do not have the release hook plates?

The easiest and cleanist solution (ie not damaging your dash board) is to stop at your local bestbuy or radio shop and ask one of the installers to show you how it comes out. It is pretty quick and there is a standard size tool to use for many head units. If you have a new radio you are replacing it with, try using those release hooks. Lastly, you could try using a thin piece of metal, but I don't recommend it.

Eclipse CD2000 has no sound from a cd or sirius... radio works

If you have an amplifier hooked up make sure that the correct blue wire on the harness is connected. One of the wires is the remote amp turn-on, the other is for a power antenna. That would be why your radio plays through your speakers, the power antenna wire' when the source is set to radio, sends a 12 volt signal. That would turn on your amp if thats the way that its hooked up.

Dvd player

Are you trying to watch the dvd while your driving? Depending on who hooked up the radio the DVD receiver is only supposed to come on when the emergency brake is engaged. You may have to hook it up another way for it to play while your riding.
