Question about Samsung SyncMaster 740N 17" LCD Monitor
Just a simple prob i guess with screen resolution on my samsung syncmaster 740n, it seems to be that i dont have the option to set the resolution 1024x768. I only have the options for 800x600, 960x600,1088x612 and 1280x720. I tried choosing other refresh rates but what it did is added lower screen resolution but still no 1024x768 option. Im using Nvidia Geforce 6200LE, tried updating driver still no luck
May I suggest working on the monitor itself before tackling the video card.
To my understanding, your monitor came with an installation CD that contain drivers/software for your OS to recognize the LCD correctly. Should you need a downloadable copy, its filename is 20050615115516359_SM740N.exe.
If you have already installed the monitor's drivers and updated your video card's driver as well, and problem persist, you may need to work on the AGP or PCI-E of the motherboard itself. Pls post back motherboard or PC's brand and model.
Hope this be of help. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
